Vanilla Ice - 21-08-022

Female Cat aged Young Adult.

Vanilla Ice is a beautiful long-haired dilute calico (a gray-based calico). She is one of four kittens who were captured when they were three months old while trying to capture their stray mother. She was born approximately 6-5-21.

She is still shy, preferring not to be picked up. She loves to play with feather and string toys and laser lights. In fact, she can really run after those red dots. She also responds well to treats - especially her dehydrated chicken treats. She readily allows petting while eating her treats, and sometimes her dinner. She has a nightly ritual with her foster father, following him from the bathroom to the kitchen, walking by his side, meowing, being petted, and pausing when he pauses, until he plays with her, and her friends, using the laser light.

She readily plays and cuddles with her foster siblings and will more than likely do very well in a home with other cats. She will make a fantastic companion for a lonely cat or two. She likely will not do well in a family with small children (primarily because of her shyness) and will require someone with patience to help her be comfortable in her new home. If you are looking for a playful young cat who will easily befriend other cats and kittens, check out Vanilla Ice. Be sure to click on the video link below to see her playing with the laser light.

Vanilla and her mother, Simone, would make quite a pair for the right family. Simone is the lounging cat who loves loving and Vanilla is the party cat who loves treats and play (especially laser lights and feather toys). She gets along with the other cats in her foster home. She has not been tested with young children or dogs. She has shown no aggression to any of the animals or humans in her foster home. She was quite good when receiving her immunizations, not fussing at all. She is litter trained, started on her immunizations (including rabies), is dewormed, is spayed, and will be microchipped.
