Kesa - 23-05-050

Female Cat aged Young Adult.

Kesa is a beautiful tortoiseshell, short-haired female, estimated to have been born in June of 2022. She came to ACAT pregnant and was a wonderful mother to her 4 very healthy kittens (all adopted). Kesa is smart, active, and playful, she purrs whenever she’s pet and likes being brushed. She's also a goofball and loves to play on our stairs as you can see in one of the pictures.

She's eager to see who has come to visit anytime the doorbell rings. She “sits” for treats and food, she’s learning to “load up” in a carrier backpack. She likes to be near us, though sometimes is happiest in a favorite sun spot, she sleeps with us each night. She likes to climb the ladders to our lofts, LOVES her feather wand toy, enjoys the hammock we have made for her, and often plays on her own with a crinkle ball.

Kesa is also accommodating. Though she doesn’t love getting her nails trimmed, she sits, mostly patiently, while I do it. (Of course she appreciates the treat at the end.)

Kesa is active, we play her a few times a day and think she will have her best life when adopted to a home with other playful cats or dogs and an owner or two who likes to play with her!

Kesa was adopted out in October and is back with us through no fault of her own. She returned to our home as if she had never left. She is confident, though measured, in meeting new people. The trick is to offer her a treat – then she's ready for pets and play. She does startle at loud sounds, but settles quickly also, she is not really bothered by the vacuum, just appears to prefer not to be around when it's running (I can relate!).

Kesa has had been spayed, had her annual vaccinations including rabies and has a microchip.
