Velma, born around May 7, 2023 came to ACAT as a scared kitten in July. She is still shy around strangers but has made incredible progress. She loves to come out for treats and, while she will hang back a little from the bigger kitties, loves playtime. She is a gorgeous solid black cat with yellow-green eyes. She and her three siblings have settled nicely into their foster home and are now looking for their forever homes.
Velma is a bit timid in part because she has two brothers who are bigger and more outgoing than she is, but once she has a home that is less chaotic she will make an awesome companion kitty. When things are quiet she jumps up on her foster mom’s bed and demands loves with an awesome purr. She enjoys snuggles and kisses and will happily knead biscuits for you while she purrs. It would be best if Velma had another friendly cat in her forever home, or if she were adopted with one of her siblings. She is a sweet girl with a lot of energy and enjoys a good wrestle with some of the other cats in her foster home. Velma is an awesome, gorgeous cat who is definitely ready to move on to a permanent family.
